其一,偶尔用书里的故事揶揄一下在IB实习的朋友;
其二,Epiphany其中的黄笑话;
1. "Truth is indeed stranger than fiction."
2."It took our mothers six months to realize that weren't stockbrokers, working the phones to sell crappy public offerings. It took us another six months after that to realize that we were, in fact, selling crappy public offerings."
4. meeting session: "a needless round of name-dropping."
5. "He had also probably kissed more ass than a toilet seat sees in a year."
6. "Maybe if I had run outside and peed the letters 'DLJ' in the snow, this would have given them a strong indication."
7. "The higher a monkey climbs, the more you see of his ass."
8. "If the copy center guy says that he can't find the requisition form, that's the secret code for 'We fucked it up'."
9. "The only way to maintain a manageable workload was to push everything off to the last possible minute."
10. When two associates meet with their MD present, "it was like two dogs meeting in the park and sniffing each others' asses to determine whether they were compatible."
11. A serious sentence: "When you leave sth behind that you've poured so much of yourself into, it's tough not to second-guess your decision at times."
12. A description of quants:"who looked like they had never attended any fraternity parties in college...and got boners when they heard the words 'standard deviation'."
It's different this time." Greed, Fear & Abandon.
