Current Issues in Electronic Modeling

Part of a series of volumes publishing high quality, peer-reviewed papers dealing with modelling issues in the electronic domain. The objective is to establish a communication channel between academia and industry which will serve the growing needs in the field of modelling. Electronic hardware modeling is the art of describing a device, or a system, for a given purpose (simulation, synthesis, etc.) by the use of pre-established conventions (charts, languages). Modelling is attractive since it provides for simplification and abstraction of the actual object or process. Using common modeling techniques and conventions facilitates communication and information sharing and helps speed the process of design, fabrication, testing and manufacturing. During the 1990s there has been a dramatic increase in the development and use of modelling languages, models, and modelling techniques. The overall objective of this series is to provide a platform for dissemination of the basic concepts, techniques, and applications of modelling.
