so touching when alice's giving presentation at demantia conference. even though a fiction, feel so vivid and realistic of alice's fate and mental fall and her family's choices. what do we gain and lose, we need to identify ourselves' priority.

My first time to read through an English novel. Being attracted and absorbed in the story. Cannot help with feeling sorry, sad and even pity for Alice, from a brilliant women to a patient with Alzheimer's. While reading the book, all vivid images created by Julian Moore in the movie came back to me! Amazing book!

The fear is too close to home. But knowledge can set you free. Academic life in Harvard is an interesting part of this. In the beginning I thought it's nonfiction. But maybe only a fiction can be so emotionally powerful. (Need to carry a blackberry and a cell phone in 2004)

but it really got harder and harder to watch her deteriorate. P.S. have used up the half pack of tissue left.

easy to read and it makes me realize that there are so many elderly people I know are having Alzheimer's disease. It's a really cute disease. One of my customer Rose has it, and she is my favorite person.
