The city seemed to have a will of its own, complete with a dark side. For all its bright places, darkness had found a home within its labyrinth of alleyways. The forces of good fought a losing battle every day and the forces of evil got stronger with each passing night. I wasn't what you would call a popular superhero. I was more of the type that you called when everyone better was already busy. Basically, I was a nobody, even with the costume. I didn't mind playing second fiddle to all the other heroes though, as long as I was able to do some good. All that changed within the span of a single week. My familiar city became more savage and I was thrust into a conspiracy that threatened to destroy the entire world. I guess that was to be expected here. In The Concrete Jungle.
