Rising Blood-Red Moon is a collection of my poetry written over the last two years, 2004-2006. I have answers to none of the big questions, so I have written these little verses and rhymes to help me understand my place in life. It is nothing outstanding or even heady; Iam just trying to figure things out. And sometimes without even trying, I stumble upon a gem. How lucky am I that I can occasionally be guided by the muses? This collection of writings, which is mainly introspection and observation, was the hardest writing project I have undertaken to date. All of it is inspired and heartfelt. I was tormented by the people around me and, at times, even scorned and ridiculed for my attempts at expressing my feelings in verse. I received some support, but mostly it was viewed as unmanly and overly sensitive. I love writing poetry; it has a cleansing effect, healing the heart, mind and soul, sometimes making us laugh and sometimes making us cry. Yes, it is feeling; there is nothing wrong with feeling something once in awhile. I continued onward, and I finished the work. I just want to thank those people who gave me encouragement. To the rest of you: read aem and weep
