The Journal of John Baker

The time is 2097. Earth is exploring other worlds and colonizing them. Times couldnat be any better for the human race. Despite the humansa quest for exploration and expansion, they run into several races who do not want them around. The next generation is filled with conflicts with these people, leading to a very bloody war, which costs the humans millions of lives. John Baker is a naAve young man growing up in the southern United States during these times. A quiet kind of guy, he quickly learns what life is all about. Despite his growing pains, he has a determination and a dream, which is to become an officer to the new Earth Fleet. A few years later he reaches that goal and witnesses firsthand the beauties of space as well as the conflicts that are going on during these times. He also realizes just how much family means to him after a series of mistakes. In 2117, John Baker disappeared in a crash during one of his battles. He was never seen from or ever heard from again. Did he die in the crash? Or did something else happen to him? We may never know.
