Memories of long ago, memories that don't fade through time... Susan, now a middle aged woman, returns to the soon-to-be demolished office building in downtown New Orleans where she worked thirty years before. This book was actually started in 1967 by the mother, Betty Salisbury Parham, and finished in 1997 by her daughter, Pepper Parham Nunez. It's a story of love, laughter, shame, tears, joy and sorrow as Susan revisits old memories and tragedies, then finally, after thirty years, brings closure to her memories of long ago, proving to herself that some memories don't fade.
