Choking on Chocolate

This is about the trials and tribulations of a young girlas transition to womanhood. Extremely shy, alone and afraid, a young girl enters junior high school. Feeling as if the walls are closing in around her, she is caught between peer pressure and her own anxieties about becoming a woman. Mean girls with snide remarks and boys with insensitive behavior cause her to struggle with acceptance. She desperately tries to fit in, but her own perceived inferiority causes her to succumb to neurotic actions. The story unfolds the perilous events of her literal starving for affection. The daily rituals of self-abuse that she conceals slowly destroy her like a fatal disease. The obsession consumes her mind, body and soul. She keeps this deep, dark secret while silently crying for help. Will anyone hear her?
