Word Flowers from the Top Shelf

In this, my second book of poetry, Iave stayed with the same style exhibited in my first book, The Face on the Clock Has a Smile. I am a romantic by nature, so I write a lot of romantic poems. My poetic sister and wife, Linda, has provided me with a lot of inspiration for those poems. As a black man, I have included a few poems about the unique black experience. I have been fortunate in my life to have been able to escape some of the ravages of that experience after having been impoverished as a child. Many of my poems are laced with humor; I prefer to put a smile on the face of the reader, as opposed to a tear.
