On the verge of retirement, Detective Brett King canat wait to spend quality time with his family. He learns that his wife has taken a top-secret job with a well-known scientist. Not knowing where she works or whom she works for, Brett continues to work on the force for one more year. One night, Brett comes home to find his wife and child murdered.
