Dallas

Dallas is two months away from his sixteenth birthday. He is looking forward to a new sense of freedom called "driving." His mom and uncle taught him to drive and have been the primary sources of moral support for him. His dad, who seems to always be working, provides for him monetarily and materially, but is never really there for moral support. Dallas has just gotten the news that his best friend, his confidant, his only uncle, John Ray, is sick. The doctors have not given his uncle a good prognosis of the outcome of this disease. Is there hope? Will he survive this fatal disease? What will happen to Dallas? What will happen to his uncle? Then Dallas gets a new neighbor, Yvetter Monroe. She believes anything is possible.
