Robert de Hazelden joins the Third Crusade with Richard Couer de Leon and becomes a comrade of Ivanhoe and Robert of Locksley as they fight battles for the conquest of the Holy Land. "Jock O'Hazeldene" takes place during the Border Wars between England and Scotland. Jock saves Caitlin, the daughter of Robert the Bruce; is kidnaped by the sadistic son of another Scots Laird; and later reunites with Caitlin. In "The Road to Dundee," Ewan MacKenzie and his men in the Scots Guard use subterfuge to win back the castle Claypotts after Edward I (Longshanks) tries a different way of winning Scotland for his kingdom. After sending a contingent of men disguised as Scots, the Thane is killed. It is up to Ewan and his men, disguised as bards, to retake the castle. The Saxons sail to Bantry Bay to conquer Ireland. The King of Munster and a small contingent find their way to Lough Dorca, the Dark Lake, where they receive help from a different source. With the aid of Leprechauns, the heroes of Old Ireland, and a ghostly crew of monks, they drive the invaders back. The Nazis have conquered America in another time. The Time Corps recruits a new operative and uses him and a colleague to attempt to set things right....
