When a talented, but antagonising, young dancer named Jamie has an accident which sends him hurtling into a river, he has no idea of the troubles or possibilities that await him at the bottom. Thrust into the middle of a troubled land, he discovers that he is The One in the Pilmar prophecy, sent to save the tribes from slavery. The one thing that isnat made clear to him at the time, however, is how. He must either live to save their freedom, or die to preserve it. To cap it all, Jamie has to make it to the All-England dance finals. He realizes he has to save their lives as well as his own, uncover the mystery of the Guardian of Lightas abduction, as well as making it home in time to win the finals.
