A story of a young woman, Minnie Whatley coming of age. In the prime of her life, Minnie along with very few family members are forced to leave the security of her father's home and protection in north Georgia after Minnie barely avoids being raped by one of the most powerful white men in north Georgia. Strong willed as she maybe, Minnie proved to be no match for the wiles of city life in Chattanooga Tennessee or the games that some men play. Minnie finds herself forced to deal with the emotional toll that any mother faces when someone attempts to murder one of her very own children. Determined to overcome any obstacle set before her, our readers find out if she will eventually find her soul mate.
