I have been writing poetry my whole life. What was my dream? To someday write my own book. Well, the opportunity arose and I took advantage. The poems in this book are all about love and friendship. At the end of each poem you will see the letters LYB. Those letters are my sign-off letters on the computer. They stand for "Love you, baby"-therefore, the title of my first book. Poetry comes from within a person. Most poetry is written about things close to one's heart. My poetry is no different. I have been inspired to write by many different things I have experienced throughout my life-the friends who have shared their lives with me and the people I have loved. This book was inspired by a very special person in my life. Without this person, I don't think I would have been able to accomplish as much as I did. Remember, special friends and special relationships create a happy life.
