Moods of a Gemini is an intriguing collection of poetry and thoughts written from 1991 until 2004. During this time, the author, Jennifer Louise, a Gemini, experiences adolescence, early adulthood, marriage, divorce and newfound love. The poetry reflects moods from her experiences in each area of her life. Although titled Moods of a Gemini, any person may relate to the ambiance of feelings in these poems. Each of the eight chapters is specifically defined by emotions. From the feeling of confusion, to the deep sensational power of passion, every poem is exclusively written in depth of the authoras moment. One chapter clearly defines her scattered state of mind during substance abuse, while another depicts her zeal for life through her personal freedoms. In one period of her writing, the author defines love as confining and cruel, while in later years she alternatively writes about her adoration and commitment to another heart. Her fears, understandings, conflicts, beliefs and defeats are all evident throughout each chapter. Jennifer discovered her love for writing in the third grade during a Halloween story writing project. Throughout elementary school and junior high, she found herself immersed in the art of poetry. When she put her pen to paper, words began to flow out of her. She loved the challenge of writing and rhyming and the beauty of her feelings being put on paper. It became a natural part of her being and has simply evolved throughout her life.
