Flying Fall is a book of poetry that follows the authoras first book, Looking at the Moon. Beginning her junior year of college and ending that same year, Flying Fall depicts a young adultas year of opposites. After many recent accomplishments and earned achievements, the author finds herself wondering, what next? She examines pressures of expectations, relationships, isolation, and future outcomes. Through chronologically expressing her ideas, lessons, turmoil, and realizations, Clark discovers many truths among ironies. She soon learns that the challenges she faces provide her with development and the will to conquer anything. Furthermore, she leaves her personal roots only to be drawn back to them again. Through various youthful experiences, this book of poetry delineates an honest portrayal of the importance of family, home, true friends, and the coming of age recognition of a paradoxical world.
