It's Not Your Turn is intended to be D.E. Wigington's lay view of the changes in civility and how it impacts the quality of all our lives. Wigington views a few of the modern behaviors and attitudes on the part of people she encounters every day at work and at play and makes observations, sometimes through humor, about how harsh or inconsiderate we can be in our daily interactions. Whether consciously or unconsciously, our behaviors have become very self-centered and in some extreme cases deadly; case in point, road rage. That is quite a range and Wigington does not attempt to address them all. However, consider what your drive to work is like, what meetings are like or how our children and spouses treat one another from time to time. While traveling, simply trying to park a car, or enjoy our community, human interactions seem to have gotten more difficult. For reasons of stress, overwork or other factors, we act differently towards one another and Wigington thought it was worth a look. She talks about taking responsibility for one's behavior and draws conclusions shared by others as she reads "letters to the editor" and the like. D.E. Wigington hopes that this little book will cause to you to stop and think before you simply act and reconsider: "Is it really my turn?"
