Tom Wasp and the Murdered Stunner

East End chimney sweep Tom Wasp is highly flattered to be asked to model for Valentine Drake, a painter in fashionable Chelsea. His co-model is the beautiful and warm-hearted Bessie Barton, a redheaded stunner who soon becomes his friend. When Bessie's body is found on the muddy banks of the river Thames, Tom is grief-stricken and vows to find her murderer. Assisted by his eleven-year-old apprentice, Ned, he discovers a monstrous shadow that hung over her life -- Moonman. But who is he? Is he one of the Angels -- the high-minded group of artists to which Valentine belongs? Or is the truth more terrifying still?
