MAY GOD SHINE UPON YOU AND BRING YOU PEACE WITH MUCH LOVE, LEAH Leah has been on stage from the age of fifteen to the present. Having started out as a singer/songwriter, she then wrote and performed stand-up comedy for many years and now has turned her creativity to poetry and spoken word. She is a member of the Emerging Urban Poets, run by Don Campbell, and a poetry host at The Bliss Arthouse CafA(c) in Hollywood, California. Leah is also the west coast affiliate for Extreem Productions, a tri-fold poetry-based company out of Boston, Massachusetts. She has been published in the San Gabriel Valley Poetry Quarterly, Mslexia, Poetic Diversity and on Poetix.com. She has also performed on DefPoetryJam Summer a04. Leah is an urban poet, drawing inspiration from the world around her and the way she views this life. She writes from the depth of her spirit. Leah brings a fresh new outlook and strength to the spoken word arena. Her goal is to reach as many lives as possible. In June of 2004 Leah developed aThe Write to Heala workshops for troubled teens. This workshop was created to help children realize that they have choices. It promotes reading, poetry, writing and any creative outlet they choose to represent their feelings. Leahas goal is to promote the workshop throughout the world, so that children are shown that there is hope through creativity.
