Dorrence B. Stovall is a true Southern poet who writes from the love of words, and who practices poetry as an art form. He writes on topics that touch our daily lives: family, faith and life in general. He is a businessman, having worked in the healthcare industry for nearly twenty years, and currently serves as a senior executive with a national healthcare network. He is also involved politically in causes near to his heart (including advocacy for the disabled, matters of national security, and healthcare advocacy). He is active in his church parish where he is continuing his studies in religion, faith, history, archeology and literature. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his lovely wife and two children. You'll find his writings to be on a variety of subjects, and his style of writing to be broad, realistic and cutting edge. Sometimes he may say the things we only think and feel, but probably should speak aloud, some on positive feelings, and others on acknowledging our inner doubts and regrets. The poetry contained in On the Median of Life was composed between the years 2000 and 2005. The author hopes that you will find his works entertaining, in depth and therapeutic; creating this poetry has served in these ways for the author during its composition.
