其实作者还是略显啰嗦了一点。如果对开明的读者,应该可以压缩到1/3的内容。但看了这本书终于认识到以前的“常识”是正确的,加上能认识到胆固醇等等相关内容。不过对鬼佬的帮助应该比亚洲人大。

十分意外但有说服力的结论。肥胖的主因是碳水化合物而非贪食脂肪与缺少运动。附件部分为要义所在。

也许是因为之前对卡路里摄入和锻炼只是一个因素,在乎吃多少也在乎吃什么,low GI, 少碳水这样的理念有了解。觉得倒逼叨叨逼到能把这么个一篇科普文就说清楚的观点写成这么长一本书也是本事。但take home messege是胖瘦并不是一件简单的事情。生理学的争议存在,心理学的动机重要 (很多人吃其实是心理需要,尤其在创伤之后),社会经济阶级因素(对营养学知识了解,健康食物的access和消费力,所在社会阶层的审美),还有尚未确定的遗传因素(比如消化系统微生物)。现在越来越明显的将胖意味着懒惰,没有意志力,对欲望放纵等等是讲胖简单的关联到个人行为。这部分是因为减肥健身这个消费市场的日益壮大而带来的宣传,但是带给个人的却是因为缺乏对胖的复杂原因了解而产生的歧视和羞耻化。
