It was a beautiful March day. The year was 1995. Michele went to her office, retrieved her morning coffee and began doing some research for a court case later in the week. Soon, she would be found on the bathroom floor by her co-workers. She was incoherent and did not understand what was happening to her. This was the beginning of what would be a series of bi-polar symptoms. Michele was in a mental hospital. At this point, she was delusional, hallucinating and did not recognize her family or her surroundings. She would be in the ICU for the next two weeks. Her treatment would begin with medications. From panic attacks to shock treatment, Michele covers all of her experiences for the last ten years. You will find in the last chapter some self-help ideas and techniques for a variety of bi-polar symptoms. Her goal in writing this book is to help people with the disease and others who wish to understand it.
